George Droux of Notre Dame de Lourdes, formerly of Somerset, Manitoba passed away on Saturday, May 2, 2015, at the Foyer Notre Dame in Notre Dame de Lourdes, MB at the age of 91 years.
Left to mourn George’s passing are his beloved wife Anita (nee Messner), daughters Debora (Robert) Morrow, Irene (Brian) Van De Kerckhove, Donna Howarth, Georgina Droux and Jodine Droux, grandchildren Dwayne (Brenda) Morrow, Heather (Kevin) Hamilton, Douglas (Janessa) Morrow, Darcy (Amber) Van De Kerckhove, Brandi Van De Kerckhove (Dustin Parks), Vanessa Van De Kerckhove (Jeremy Slack), Jacy Howarth (Sam Massinon), Jadon Howarth, Drew Hoggins, Brady Hoggins and Shelby Droux, and great-grandchildren Ashley, Jenna, Chloe, Molly, Emma, Bailee and Cole. Also left to mourn George’s passing are his brother Joe (Doretta) Droux, sister Cecile (Tom) Fisher, brothers & sisters in-law Andy (Gisele) Messner, Mariette Messner – Fortier, Remi (Linda) Messner, Claire (Laurence) De Graeve, Dennis (Anna) Messner & Yvonne (Jack) Shaw, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
George was predeceased by his first wife Florette, daughter Dorothy, infant son Joseph, son-in-law Lyle Howarth, parents Irenée and Elisabeth (nee Fries) Droux, sister Marie Mireault, and brother Pete (Elsie) Droux.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held from the Notre Dame de la Nativité Catholic Church, Somerset, MB at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 9, 2015, Father Armand Le Gal celebrant. Video tribute and Eulogy will take place prior to Mass at 10:30 a.m. Private family interment will be held in the St. Leon Cemetery.
