The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Louise Christie can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Condolence: Sorry to hear of the passing of Louise. She was a marvelous lady when I first met her through the Legion Ladies Auxiliary. District meetings and Provincial Council Conventions were all the more special when she was there.

Condolence: Louise was a teacher at the Glenboro High School in 1959 when I was a fellow member of the staff. Gail and I have fond memories of her. What I remember most vividly was her open and exultant laughter and exuberant spirit. She was a splendid teacher and a example of independence and self-trust when few such models for girls were present. We also remember her on behalf of the late Joan McLeod, who had a warm affection for her friend Louise.

Condolence: My sympathies Jeannie and family. I just feel so lucky that we got to sit with you and your Mom at the school reunion last summer! Your mom was one of my favorite teachers. I'm sure no one could teach Shakespeare better than your Mom. My husband always says he never got Shakespeare and my answer to him over the years has been "that's because you didn't have Mrs. Christie for a teacher. " What a special lady so young at heart! She will be missed by many.

Condolence: To Louise's family - Our Sincere Sympathy to all of you. Louise was a treasure in so many wonderful ways. We first met when she was serving on Provincial Council Ladies Auxiliary of the Royal Canadian Legion Mb. & NW Ontario Command. She taught us so much, her wisdom, sense of humor, infectious laugh, and mostly the fact that we learned to get things done properly and according to the Constitution. She was a wonderful speaker and always had a message to drive the importance of it home. What a wonderful picture of her she will truly be missed by so many. We know your memories will be good ones and will be spoke of for years to come. We know ours will be the same. Fraternally, Marlene Rose Past Provincial President LA23
