Anita Droux (Messner)
Anita Rachel Droux (nee Messner) of Somerset, MB passed away on Thursday July 20, 2017, at the Lorne Memorial Hospital, Swan Lake MB, at the age of 76 years.
Anita leaves to mourn her passing her five daughters Debora (Robert) Morrow of Kaleida MB, Irene (Brian) Van De Kerckhove of Brandon, Donna Howarth of Somerset, Georgina Droux of Brandon and Jodine Droux of Winnipeg; grandchildren Dwayne (Brenda) Morrow, Heather (Kevin) Hamilton, Douglas (Janessa) Morrow, Darcy (Amber) Van De Kerckhove, Brandi Van De Kerckhove, Vanessa Van De Kerckhove (Jeremy Slack), Jacy Howarth (Sam Massinon), Jadon Howarth, Drew Hoggins, Brady Hoggins and Shelby Droux; great-grandchildren Ashley, Jenna, Chloe, Parker, Benjamin, Molly, Emma, Bailee and Cole.
Also surviving are, brothers Andy (Gisele) Messner of Winnipeg, Remi (Linda) Messner of Killarney, Dennis (Anna) Messner of Morden, sisters Mariette Messner – Fortier of Winnipeg, Claire (Laurence) De Graeve of Somerset, & Yvonne (Jack) Shaw of Winnipeg; brother-in-law Joe Droux, sister-in-law Cecile Fisher as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Anita was predeceased by her husband George Droux (2015), daughter Dorothy, infant son Joseph, son-in-law Lyle Howarth, parents Nicholaus & Laurette Messner, sister Hilda Labossiere, brother Edward Messner & by brothers-in-law Armel Labossiere & Fred Fortier.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held from the Notre Dame de la Nativité Catholic Church, Somerset, MB on Wednesday July 26, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. with Father Paulin Akpapupu as celebrant. Video tribute and Eulogy will take place at 1:30 p.m. prior to Mass. A private family interment will be held in the St. Leon Cemetery.
