Robert Ross Chambers passed away in Wawanesa, Manitoba on September 24, 2020 at the age of 79.

Ross was the youngest of 9 children to John and Jean Chambers, and was raised on the family farm outside of Belmont, Manitoba. In 1968 he married Mavis (Dunlop) and they were married for 50 years. In 1974 they had their daughter, Diane (Perry). In 1976 they moved from Brandon to Wawanesa into the house they built. Ross worked for Wyeth Organics in Brandon for nearly 40 years and retired in 2005. One of his greatest passions in life was Harness Racing. He owned and drove horses for almost 40 years, and continued to be involved with the races throughout the rest of his life. He enjoyed his retirement years woodworking, golfing and playing cards, as well as continuing to attend the Harness Races, where in his last years he participated by driving the starting gate. He also devoted several years to the Wawanesa Agricultural Society.

Ross is predeceased by his wife Mavis, parents Albert & Jeannetta, brothers Milton (May) and John, and sister Florence Remus, as well as brothers-in-law Lorne Lambkin, Larry Juniper & Morley Leachman.
