Passed away at the St. Boniface Hospital on Thursday August 24, 2023 at the age of 78 years, Albert De Backer, of Swan Lake, MB, formerly of St. Alphonse, MB.

Albert leaves to mourn his passing his loving wife Annette (nee Deurbrouck), sons Jimmy De Backer of Brandon, MB & Fred (Corinne) De Backer of Manitou, MB, daughter Deb De Backer (William), of Swan Lake, MB; eight grandchildren Drew (Sasha), Jory (Jasmine), Maqueda, Reg, Aubrey, Bailey, Gail and Crystal; three sisters Madeliene (Raymond) Van De Spiegle of Holland, MB, Lorraine (Robert) Grift of Swan Lake, MB and Germaine (Ron) Van Der Kerckhove of Swan Lake, MB, as well as numerous extended relatives.

Albert was predeceased by his five children Arlene, Dennis, Anne, Darlene and Allen, parents Fred & Gertrude DeBacker, brother Maurice De Backer and by a sister Marlene De Backer.

Prayers & Visitation will be held on Saturday August 26, 2023 at 3:00 pm at the Jamieson's Funeral Chapel, Holland, MB. (Open to all.)

A Private Family Graveside will be held on Tuesday August 29, 2023 at the St. Alphonse Cemetery with Father Shibin Bosco officiating.
