Audrey Violet Janz (Johnson) of Brandon MB, formerly of Ninette MB, passed away at the Hillcrest Personal Care Home with her family by her side, on Wednesday June 28, 2017 at the age of 92 years. Audrey leaves to mourn her passing her daughters Sherri King of Brandon, Heather (Brian) Leitch of Laporte, Minn., grandchildren Taylor King (Jessie), Jennifer King, Cathy Packham, Kyle Packham (Jolene), Christopher Myers, Derek Kliever (Danielle) and step grandson Andrew Leitch; great grandchildren Hanna, Logan, Mackenzie, Alexander, Damien, Kynslee, Autumn, Teagan & step great grandson Derrick. She is also survived by her brother Stanley (Audrey) Pearse of Dominion City MB as well as several nieces & nephews. Audrey was predeceased by her first husband Harvey Johnson (1993), second husband Doug Janz & by a great grandson Aiden Packham. Audrey & Harvey owned the Silver Heights Restaurant in Winnipeg for many years. When they moved to Brandon, their career path changed to looking after people unable to live on their own. Upon their retirement they decided to move to Ninette and later on Audrey moved back to Brandon. She loved to cook, and if you stopped by their was always baking ready to eat. Whether you wanted it or not! Audrey loved to garden & can & give her products away. Her love of reading, word search & knitting was something she continued to do while at the Hillcrest nursing home. She will be missed by all. A Family Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday July 4, 2017 at the Ninette Cemetery.
