Passed away at the Brandon Regional Health Centre on Thursday September 23, 2021 at the age of 68 years, Barbara Jean Johnston (nee Maxwell), of Wawanesa, MB.

Jean leaves to mourn her passing her husband Matt Johnston, children Yvonne McKay of Morris, MB & Kelly (Stacey) Steinke of Cold Lake, AB, grandchildren Rachel & Noah McKay & Katie Steinke; stepchildren Dustin Johnston (Courtney) of Wawanesa, MB, & Kim Johnston of Wawanesa, MB and by step grandchildren Corey & Colton Johnston.

She is also survived by her mother Retta Maxwell of Morris, MB, brothers Brian (Joanne) Maxwell of Boissevain & Kerry Maxwell of Neepawa, MB, sister Margaret (Shane) Johnston of Morris, MB, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended relatives.  Jean was predeceased by her father Ron Maxwell in 1991.

A Family Graveside Service will be held at the Hillside Cemetery, Belmont, MB, on Saturday October 23, 2021 with Sharon Hamilton officiating.  Friends that so desire, memorial donations can be made in Jean's memory to the Wawanesa Community Foundation, Box 89, Wawanesa, MB, R0K 2G0.
