Passed away at the Baldur Personal Care Home on Wednesday April 22, 2020 at the age of 79 years, Bob Kent, of Glenboro MB, formerly of Whiteshell & Selkirk MB. Bob leaves to mourn his passing his loving wife Margaret (nee Latham), daughter Barb (John) Dyck of Glenboro, sons Bruce Kent (Shelby McLeod) of Winnipeg & Allen (Stacey) Kent of Fort St. John, B.C., grandchildren Zachary DuFrat, Ryann, Hailey & Deklan Kent, step grandchildren Adam, Jonathan & Zachary Dyck as well as extended relatives. Bob was predeceased by his parents Bill & Frances Kent. Bob was born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba. In the early 50's Bobs parents built their cottage at Brereton Lake in the Whiteshell where he and his family spent much of their free time fishing, duck hunting and exploring the park. As an adult Bob made Selkirk, MB his home. He married Margaret in 1974 and went on to have his three children Barbara, Bruce and Allen. While raising his family, Bob ran an Electrical contracting buisiness in Selkirk and was an active member of the Selkirk Fire Department and Kinsmen Club. Most of Bob's free time was spent at Brereton Lake with family and friends. Bob was also an avid hunter and looked forward every fall to deer seasons spent in Piney, MB with his hunting partner Earl and his family. In retirement Bob and Margaret made Brereton Lake their year round home and were able to spend 13 years living the dream at the lake. In 2016 Bob and Margaret left the Whiteshell and settled in Glenboro,MB. Bob spent the final year of his life in the Baldur personal care home. Family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to all of the Glenboro Home Care and Baldur Personal care home staff for the care Bob received during his illness. Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, no services will be held at this time.
