Clara DeBacker of the Foyer in Notre Dame de Lourdes, MB, formerly of Holland & St. Alphonse, MB passed away on Saturday, May 16, 2015, at the Foyer Notre Dame in Notre Dame de Lourdes, MB at the age of 98 years. Left to mourn Clara's passing are her daughter Shirley (Roger) Lesage of St. Alphonse, MB, grandchildren Giselle (Curtis) Jeffrey of Holland, MB, Ronald Lesage and Michael Lesage, both of St. Alphonse, MB and Philip Lesage of Winnipeg, MB, great-grandchildren Dustin, Madison and Gracie Jeffrey, and sister Anna Van Den Bussche of Holland, MB, as well as numerous nieces & nephews. Clara was predeceased by her husband Gerard, parents Frederick & Clarisse and brothers Hubert (Margaret), Gaston (Clarisse) and Marcel (Mariette) Buydens, father & mother-in-law Jules & Marie (nee Verstraete) DeBacker, stepfather-in-law Gerard Goring, and brothers & sisters-in-law Fred (Gertie) DeBacker, Clara (Andre) Spitaels and Maurice DeBacker. Prayers will be held in the Jamieson's Holland Chapel, Holland, MB at 8:00 p.m. Friday, May 22, 2015. Mass of Christian Burial will be held from the St. Alphonse Catholic Church, St. Alphonse, MB at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 23, 2015. Father Chris Nwosu & Father John McKenzie concelebrants Interment to follow in the St. Alphonse Parish Cemetery. If friends so desire, donations may be made in Clara's memory to a charity of one's choice.
