Obituary

Passed away at the Portage General Hospital on Monday June19, 2023 at the age of 91 years,  Donald Sherlock Graham, of Holland MB.

Born and raised in the Holland area, Don's entire life revolved around farming.  He attended Holland School till Grade 7, and with the grades he presented, his father told him you might as well stay home and go to the barn. An active member of the community, Don served on the Holland Ag Society and was a RM of Victoria councilor for 15 years.

If he wasn't farming, Don enjoyed playing cards, attending senior hockey games, daily coffee shop visits and fishing with friends.  He was a "well known" local historian and story teller.  He seemed to know people wherever he and Angele travelled.  His grandsons and great grandchildren were of great joy to him.

For the last 4 years, Don lived in the Notre Dame Foyer where he made new friendships with staff and other residents.  He made the most of his time there, enjoying the activities and outings.

Don leaves to mourn sons Ron (Bev) & Rob (Charlene) of Holland, grandchildren Scott (Dayna), Trevor (Michaela), Tyler (Carla), Brett (Kelly), Reid (Brittany) and by great grandchildren Carter, Clara, Colter, Ronan & Aubrey.  He is also survived by his brother Wayne Graham of Glenboro and by sisters Gerry McMannis & Delores (Wayne) Early of Holland as well as numerous extended relatives & friends.

Don was predeceased by his wife Angele (nee Mannens) in 2019, grandson Derek Graham, parents Lloyd & Edna (nee Guest), brothers-in-law Charles Mannens & Jim McMannis, sister-in-law Judy Graham, & by father & mother-in-law Wilfred & Rachel Mannens.
