Edith Gagnon of Wawanesa, Manitoba, beloved wife of the late John Gagnon, passed away on Friday, January 10, 2014 at the Wawanesa Health Centre at the age of 90 years. Left to mourn Edith's passing are her brother-in-law James Riley, nieces & nephews Joyce (Neil) McTaggart, Lorne (Lois) Riley, Lorraine (Peter) Chalanchuk, all of Brandon, MB, Carolyn (Jack) Brown of Cranberry Portage, MB and Kenneth (Josie) Bessant of Brandon, MB, as well as numerous extended relatives & friends. Edith was predeceased by her husband John (1997), parents Robert & Christina (nee Lowman) McNabb, sisters Bella Riley, Janet (Gordon) Watson and Ida (Albert) Bessant, and Brothers Jack and Stewart McNabb. Funeral Service will be held in Wawanesa United Church at 2:15 p.m. Tuesday, January 14, 2014. Rev. Harvey Hurren officiating. Interment to follow in Wawanesa Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Edith's memory to The Wawanesa Activities Department c/o Prairie Mountain Health Box 309, Wawanesa, MB R0K 2G0.
