Obituary

Passed away peacefully at the age of 92 on Thursday September 3, 2015 in the Glenboro Personal Care Home. Mom was born September 27, 1922 in Winnipeg and spent all her life there until she started teaching school. Her first teaching years were spent at Hnausa and Grahamdale. In January 1944 she took a job teaching grades 1 & 2 in Cypress River. There she met Nelson Davidson and they were married September 28, 1946. Mom enjoyed the farm life. Raising chickens, gardening and learning to milk cows. She was part of several groups - Legion Auxillary, Rebekah Lodge, handicrafts and sewing. In the winter she enjoyed curling. She even tried golfing after retiring from the farm. The Cypress River Senior Centre provided many hours of entertainment and visiting for her. Mom leaves an only daughter Linda and son-in-law Rick Truelove, granddaughter Elena Truelove, grandson Jeremy (Renata) Truelove and two great grandsons Rylan and Gradey. She was pre-deceased by her husband Nelson in 1997. Parents Hjalmer and Anna (Fauske) Nelson, sisters and brother as well as several brothers and sisters-in-law.
