Passed away at the Glenboro Health Centre on Saturday February 3, 2018 at the age of 80 years, Edwin Bruce "Swede" Lalonde. Bruce leaves to mourn his passing his wife Patsy (Mitchell nee Reykdal), four children Leslee Verstraete (Randal Wood) of Brandon, Billie Lalonde (Patti Everett) of Cypress River, Michelle (Trem) Duncan of Whitehorse Yukon, Cory Lalonde (Rhonda Berry) of Cypress River; stepchildren Shelley (Bryon) Bellow of Baldur, Barbara Woods (Jay Singbeil) of Winnipeg, Robert Mitchell (Crystal Gagnon) of Baldur; grandchildren Kyle, Grant, Breanne, Taurie, Jamie Lee, Caleb, Taidyn, Kallie, Ryland; step grandchildren Mitchell, Brianna, Kaitlyn, Colton, Cassidy, Ronelle, Alana, Shelby & Chloe & by several great grandchildren. He is also survived by his five siblings Lyall (Margaret) Lalonde of Winnipeg, Jack Lalonde of Winnipeg, Verna (Bill) Ringrose of Glenboro, Tom (Ann) Lalonde of Kamloops B.C., Patricia Ginter (Ed Grandy) of Regina Sask., as well as numerous nieces & nephews. Bruce was predeceased by his first wife Devona (nee Oliphant), parents Buster & Florence Lalonde, an infant brother, infant granddaughter Arianna & sister-in-law Berna Lalonde. Funeral services will be held on Friday February 9, 2018 at 2:00 pm in the Willmor Chapel, Glenboro MB. Interment to follow in the Glenboro Cemetery. Friends that so desire, memorial donations can be made in Swede's memory to the Canadian Cancer Society, 415-1st St. Brandon MB R7A 2W8.
