Effie "Merle" Maryann Aarhus (nee Minty) entered into a new journey on Friday December 23, 2016, bringing her to the beautiful age of 92. Merle was born May 13, 1924 in Rocanville Saskatchewan. This new Journey reunites her with Brother, Dad, Mother, Son, and family members along with the many friends she dearly loved. Left to cherish her memories are 3 daughters,grandchildren, great-grandchildren and by many relatives. Merle had many interests traveling to see family and friends, crocheting, knitting, sewing, gardening, flowers, pets, keeping active, walking, volunteering, wasn't many things that Merle did not try, she kept adding to her bucket list. Merle lived in a number of places including Rocanville, Winnipeg, Menisino, Zhoda and the latest for her was Treesbank for 43 years. Merle lived in the Wawanesa Personal Care Home for just over 5 years. We would like to thank Joyce from the activity department for her many hours of dedication and caring. A Graveside service will take place at the Websters Cemetery, Rocanville Saskatchewan, on Wednesday May 24, 2017 at 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers friends may make a donation in Merle's memory to local museum's or to a charity of their choice along with the War Amp Key Tag Service,1 Maybrook Dr Scarborough Ontario. M1V 5K9
