Passed away at the Wawanesa Personal Care Home on Saturday July 29, 2017 at the age of 101 years, Helen Louise Elliott (nee Cory) of Wawanesa MB. Helen leaves to mourn her passing her children Lorne (Anita) Elliott of Robb AB, Myrna Jean (Richard) Clark of Treesbank MB, Murray (Audrey) Elliott of Chemainus B.C., 18 grandchildren, Terri, Jacquie, Dawn, Christopher, Michael, Mary Jean, Barbara, Ken, Tammie, Teresa, Chris, Christina, Kristin, Carrie-Anne, Suze-Anne, Brennan, Clinton, 34 great grandchildren & 8 great great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers Don Cory of Wawanesa, Jim (Jean) Cory of Brandon, Colin (Merle) Cory of Vancouver, Keith (June) Cory of Winnipeg, brother-in-law Ken Moffatt of Thunder Bay Ont., as well as numerous nieces & nephews. Helen was predeceased by her husband Rich, son Larry & wife Joan Elliott, granddaughter Tara, great grandson Zachary, parents Bert & Eva Cory, sisters June Moffatt, Jean (Don) Fallis, Jessie (Lloyd) Willett, Eleanor Mae Cory, brothers Lorne Cory, Lyall (Frances) Cory, Howard (Winnie) Cory & Henry (Lucy) Cory & sister-in-law Marjorie Cory. A Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday August 2, 2017 at 2:00 pm at the Minnewawa Cemetery with Rev. Harvey Hurren & Rev. Ken Moffatt officiating. Following the interment, a reception will be held at the Nesbitt Community Hall. Everyone is welcome. Friends that so desire, memorial donations can be made in Helen's memory to the Canadian Cancer Society, 415-1st St. Brandon MB R7A 2W8 or to a charity of choice.
