It is with sadness that we share with you the peaceful passing of our Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother on Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at the age of 101 years. Born in Cypress River May 1, 1914, Isabel lived in Cypress River until moving to Baldur Personal Care Home in 2008. Mum married Dave Patterson October 28, 1942 and continued to reside in Cypress River where they raised their 4 children. Isabel was predeceased by her husband, Dave (2006) son, Archie ( 2006) daughter Verna Lodge ( 2013) son in law, Osie Lodge ( 2008) and grandson Steve Patterson( 1992). Mum is survived by sons, Keith (Janie) Neil (friend Wendy Law, Glenboro) and Trudy McMillan ( Archie), seven grandchildren, Bill (Julie), Brad (Sharon), Kevin (Lisa), Kathryn (Ritwik), Tanis (Logan), Trevor & Chris (Keely); ten great grandchildren McKayla, Leanne, Gavin, Owen, Kylie, Jessie, Joshua, Matthew, Joseph & Xavi and by many nieces and nephews. Isabel enjoyed music. She was instrumental in starting the Cypress River Men's Glee Club and was church organist for many, many years. Although very busy homemaking and raising children, she found time to enjoy her hobbies; sewing, quilting, knitting and painting. Isabel and Dave both enjoyed the many hours they worked with the committees preparing the Cypress River Centennial History Book" Pioneers, Perseverance and Progress". Mother and the family were so grateful to the home care workers that gave her care before she moved to Baldur Personal Care Home. We thank the staff at the Baldur Personal Care Home for the loving care given to Mother and helping her enjoy the seven years she lived there. Funeral services will be held on Monday July 27, 2015 at 2:00 pm in the Cypress River United Church with Sandra Rex officiating. Interment to follow in the Glencoe Cemetery. Friends that so desire, memoriams may be made in Isabel's memory to the Glencoe Cemetery Fund, c/o Darwin Richmond, Cypress River Man. R0K 0P0 or to a charity of ones choice.
