Kenneth Arthur Wilcox of Treherne, MB, formerly of Portage La Prairie, MB, passed away on Saturday, February 22, 2014, at the Tiger Hills Health Centre in Treherne, MB at the age of 61 years. Ken was born March 1, 1952 in Holland, MB to Arthur & Doris (nee Cork) Wilcox. After the death of his mother, Ken went to live with Harry & Margaret Brick, and this became his home. Ken attended school at Pinkerton, then in Treherne, MB, and later attended Red River College obtaining his electrician's licence. Ken lived most of his life in Portage la Prairie, and later moved into the Legion Lodge in Treherne, MB. Left to mourn Ken's passing are his beloved wife Penny (nee Lee) of Treherne, MB, brothers Arthur (Louise), Thomas (Suzanne), Jim (Beverly), Ernest (Betty), George (Barb), Dave (Susan) and Ron, brothers & sisters-in-law Brian (Lorette) Lee, Shirley (David) Brick and Karen (Murray) Forbes, Mother-in-law Laura Lee, special nieces & nephews Jer, John, Tan, & Lor, and dear friend Marcia Cook, as well as numerous extended relatives & friends. Ken was predeceased by his parents Arthur & Doris Wilcox and Margaret & Harry Brick, and his father-in-law Jack Lee. Memorial service will be held in Jamieson's Holland Funeral Chapel at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 26, 2014. Private family interment will take place at a later date. If friends so desire, donations may be made in Ken's memory to Toronto Western Hospital's Pulmonary Rehabilitation Clinic Fund, Toronto General & Western Hospital Foundation R.
