Melodie Joy Kroeker (Holmes) of the Glenboro/Belmont area, passed away on Monday May 12, 2025 at the Tri Lake Health Centre, Killarney, MB at the age of 51 years.

She leaves to mourn her husband Jeffrey Kroeker, children Samantha (JJ) Nash of Flin Flon, MB, Nicholas (Lauren) Kroeker of Glenboro, MB; Grandchildren Gabriel, Seth, Eden and William; mother Helen Holmes of Glenboro; siblings Crystal (David) Ediger of Glenboro, MB, Matthew (Kathy) Holmes of Glenboro, MB, father & mother-in-law Peter & Helen Kroeker of Belmont, MB, brothers & sisters-in-law Bonnie (Bill) Brown of Sandy Lake, MB, Harvey Kroeker of Belmont, MB, as well as numerous nieces and nephews & extended relatives.  Melodie was predeceased by her father Barry Holmes in 2006.

Melodie was born on December 11, 1973 in MacGregor Manitoba. She was raised in Austin Manitoba where she attended elementary school and then attended high school in MacGregor. After school she worked in Carberry at the potato plant where she met her husband, Jeffrey. They were married on October 1, 1994. She had their first child Samantha in October 1996 and their son Nicholas in January 2000.

During her time raising her children she enjoyed helping her husband on the farm.  She also really enjoyed spending her time tending to her numerous flower beds and garden and also enjoyed mowing and maintaining her yard.

She welcomed her first grandchild Gabriel in January 2022 followed by Seth in December 2022. A couple years later she welcomed her first granddaughter Eden in April 2024 followed by another grandson William in January 2025. Melodie adored her grandchildren and they were the light of her life. She would never hesitate to tell anyone she ran into about her grandchildren.

Funeral Service will be held on Monday, May 26, 2025 at 2:00 pm in the Belmont Community Hall with Pastor Bob Coutts officiating.  Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery, Belmont, MB.  Reception to follow at the hall.
