Passed away at the St. Boniface Hospital on Saturday July 7, 2018 at the age of 83 years, Mervyn Arnold Pinkerton, of Glenboro MB. Mervyn was born June 23, 1935 at Medora MB to Edgar & Grace Pinkerton. He leaves to mourn his passing his loving wife of 60 years Elsie (nee Haight), three children Marie (Allen) Barrett of Winnipeg, Allan (Debbie) Pinkerton of Charlie Lake, B.C., Irene (Roy) Wood of St. Francois Xavier MB, eight grandchildren Jaysun Pinkerton, Amber Pinkerton, Michael Barrett (Cindy Rochette), Daniel Barrett, Stephanie Barrett (Darren Gereben) and Addison (Katrina)Wood, Kylah Wood (Ryan Holmes), Devin Wood & by three great grandchildren Chance Pinkerton, Ava Wood, Claira Wood. Mervyn is also survived by brother Jack (Louise) Pinkerton of Killarney, sister Doreen Lyons also of Killarney close family Derek Plouffe and his sister Denise Plouffe as well as numerous relatives and friends. Mervyn was predeceased by his parents and by brothers Lloyd, David & sister Donna Pinkerton. A Celebration of Mervyn's Life will be held on Tuesday July 10th at 1:30 pm at the Royal Canadian Legion, Glenboro, MB. A luncheon will be served and everyone is welcome. Memorial donations can be made in Mervyn's memory to CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg MB R3E 0V9 or to the Kidney Foundation of Canada, Unit 1-452 Dovercourt Dr. Winnipeg, MB R3Y 1G4.
