Michael Anthony "Mush" Rolfe passed away at Rainbow Lake, Alberta on Friday, January 10, 2020, at the age of 56 years. Michael was born in Glenboro, Manitoba on March 20, 1963. He grew up in the Stockton area and attended school in Glenboro making lifelong friends in the process. After leaving school he worked locally as a farm labourer and plumber's helper. He then moved to Alberta where he entered the oil and gas industry. It wasn't long before Michael started working in Rainbow Lake, Alberta where he spent most of his adult life. He owned his own well servicing business called "The Chemical Truck" and after a number of years sold the company and worked for Husky Oil until his passing. Michael had a great sense of humour and loved the outdoors. Some of his favorite hobbies were hunting and trapping, fishing, and taking road trips on his motorcycle. He also liked to keep busy making furniture from diamond willow for his friends and family. He always helped out a friend and would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. Michael is survived by his wife: Lysia, three daughters Kayla (Thomas Bradshaw), Justine (Bill Zhao), and Lindsay (Jack Caron); two stepchildren Jon Huppertz and Breanna Latham; three grandchildren Oscar Rolfe, Hailey Caron and Logan Zhao; two sisters Shannon (Greg Dalgliesh) and Erin (Bill McNab) and by a brother Todd (Bonnie) Rolfe. Michael was predeceased by his father James Rolfe and mother Joyce Johnson & by sister-in-law Cathy Rolfe. A family graveside service will take place on Saturday, July 18th, 2020 at Millford Cemetery, Treesbank MB, with Sharon Hamilton officiating.
