Obituary

It is with much sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Rachel at the age of 92yrs. Rachel was predeceased by her parents Theophile and Alina Delichte, brother Lorne Delichte and her husband Donald Creaser. Left to cherish her memory are her son's, George Derrett (Pearl), Ron Derrett (Marilyne) and Craig Creaser (Charlene). Grandchildren Zach Creaser (Delaney G), Ramah Friesen and Ted Vandenheuvel (Jackie), great granddaughter Alina Friesen, in-laws Olive Dietrich, Shirley Proven (Herb), Arlene Haggerty (George), Pam Ekstrom (Dave) and Bob Wright, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and their families. Rachel was blessed with many friends and extended family. According to Rachel's wishes cremation has taken place and there will be a memorial service held in her home town of Swan Lake, MB at the St. Martin of Tours Church, on Saturday February 1, 2014 at 2:00 pm, with Rev. Allison Halstead of Swan Lake United Church, officiating. Following the service, a reception will be held in the Swan Lake Community Hall. Everyone is welcome. The family would like to thank all of the staff at West Park Manor for all of the care, kindness and compassion shown to Rachel over the last two years. As music was one of Rachel's greatest joys, the family requests in lieu of flowers a donation may be made to the Music Endowment Fund at West Park Manor 3199 Grant Ave. Wpg, MB R3R 1X2 or a charity of your choice.
