Raymond John Street passed away at the Health Science Centre in Winnipeg on Friday August 28 at the age of 76 years. Ray is survived by his wife Marlene, children Michelle, Matthew, Jennifer (Dennis Battershell); grandchildren Keith, Tara; brother Brian (Nancy), sister-in-law Sharron Street, brother-in-law Dan Verstraete, sister-in-law Joyce Urbanski and extended family. He was predeceased by his parents, Leonard and Laura Street, brother Roger and infant siblings Theodore and Margaret. Ray was born in Wellington Surrey, England. He spent his early years with his missionary parents in China before receiving his education at Prairie Bible Institute in Alberta. Ray took training in Sheet Metal Work and was employed at Brandon Heating and Plumbing before farming, first south of Wawanesa and then East. Ray was always willing to lend a helping hand. He enjoyed reading, music, nature, animals, and spending time with his family. He always enjoyed going for coffee. The family would like to thank everyone for their assistance since Ray's passing. A Graveside service will take place on Thursday September 3, 2015 at 1:00 pm at the Millford Cemetery, Treesbank MB, followed by a Celebration of Ray's life at 2:00 pm in the Willmor Chapel, 415 Broadway St., Glenboro MB. Pastor Kenton Penner officiating. Following the service, a reception will be held at the Glenboro Bible Chapel, everyone is welcome. Friends that so wish, memorial donations can be made in Ray's memory to a charity of choice.
