Passed away on August 1, 2015, as a result of a tragic motor vehicle accident. Funeral Services were held on August 5, 2015 in Mandan North Dakota. Rider was born in Calgary, Alberta Canada, on February 22, 1994, to Dave and Helen Cupido. When Rider was six months old, his family moved to Abilene, Texas. In 1997, a new addition was added to the family, a sister Kennedy. Rider instantly fell in love with his new sister. In 2000, the family moved to Mandan, North Dakota, where he attended Mary Stark Elementary School, Mandan Middle School, and Mandan High School, where he graduated in 2012. Rider attended Bismarck State College for criminal justice, and was enrolled in auto body technician in the fall. At a young age, Rider enjoyed playing the sport of hockey. The sport and his teammates were a big part of his life. After he graduated, he continued to play in men's league hockey and coached the young kids in the Mandan Hockey Club, both of which he loved. If you ever had a question about hockey, Rider knew the answer. Rider and his family became part of a large Mandan hockey family that continues to support each other. In his free time, he could be found riding his motorcycle, playing hockey, softball, sand volleyball, or just hanging out with friends and family. When he was younger, Rider loved taking trips to Canada to see his family members. In February of 2014, Rider met his loving girlfriend Elizabeth Schatz, and they quickly became a part of each other's families. He will be greatly missed by his mum, Helen; his sister, Kennedy; his girlfriend, Elizabeth; his dad, Dave; Grandma and Grandpa Outhwaite; various aunts, uncles, cousins, the Schatz family, and his hockey community. Rider had a zest for life and lived life to the fullest. He always knew how to make people smile. We will miss you. I love you Pooh. You will always be our special guardian angel, mum and Kennedy.
