Bill Roney of Wawanesa, MB passed away at the Brandon Regional Health Centre on Sunday March 15, 2015 at the age of 94 years. Bill leaves to mourn his passing his wife Ainsley (nee Hamilton) of Wawanesa, MB, sons Ross of Wawanesa, MB, Calvin and Harvey of Spruce Woods, MB and Robert of Cromer, MB, daughter Verna of Spruce Woods, MB, grandchildren Bill , Jaime and Tracey, great grandchildren Dylan, Sydney, Taylor, Katlyn, Tyson and Kali. Also left to mourn Bill's passing is his sister Marlene Snyder of Dauphin, MB, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Bill was predeceased by his son Dennis in infancy, parents Richard & Mae (nee Foote) Roney, and brothers Clayton, Barry (Connie) and Morley (Jean) Roney, mother & father in Law Mary & Charlie Hamilton and sister-in-law Ora (Glen) Wilson. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 19, 2015 at 2:00 pm in the Wawanesa United Church. Rev. Harvey Hurren officiating. Interment to follow in the Wawanesa Cemetery. If friends so desire, donations may be made in Bill's memory to The Heart & Stroke Foundation, 824 18th St #3, Brandon, MB, R7A 5B7.
