Albert Lussier Obituary

It is with heavy heart that we announce the sudden passing of our dear, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Albert was called home to his dear Lord and Savior on January 28, 2021. Albert was born on March 4, 1925 in Mariapolis. He moved to Belmont where he farmed for 65 years.  The land was right between Belmont, Glenboro and Baldur.  Best little spot ever.  Albert is survived by his five children; daughter Helene De Kezel (Lou Savisky) of Beausejour MB; sons, Marcel (Ellen) Lussier of Baldur, Raymond Lussier of Baldur; daughters, Annette (Tom) Outhwaite of Stockton, and Gisele (Garth) Shackleton of Whitewood SK. He was so proud of his 14 grandchildren, Larry De Kezel, Kyle Savisky, Nicole (Derek) Lewis, April (Ross) Schellenberg, Jason (Holly) Lussier, Kelly (Jennifer) Lussier, Tina (Roy) Matheson, Jory Lussier, Bryan (Dana) Outhwaite, Pamela and Michael Outhwaite, Corissa (Toni) St. Louis, Jeremy (Jenna) and Sabrina Shackelton; 14 great-grandchildren Mason, Ava and Olivia, Ethan, Paige and Seth, Taylor, Makayla and Gage, Theo, Alex, Lilee and Maverik, Frankie.  Albert also leaves to mourn sister-in-laws; Rose, Gemma and Lorrette Lussier.  Brothers and sisters-in-law Henri (Carole), Rene (Marjorie), Antoine (Bernice), George (Solange) Ricard, Antoinette (Ed) DeVlieger, Marie-Ange Ricard & George Desrochers.  Also, numerous nieces, nephews, even great nieces and nephews as well as many friends and neighbors all of whom he loved dearly. Albert will now be reunited with his wife Eva, his infant daughter Antoinette, and grandson Larry DeKezel in heaven.

Our entire family would like to give a heart felt thank you to Dr Swanepoel, who gave our dad excellent care over the years.  Special thank you to the Glenboro Hospital and Baldur Care Home staff for the excellent care and making him feel so welcome.  He enjoyed all of your special smiles and laughter.

A Graveside Service will be held on Monday August 9, 2021 at 11:00 am at the Glenboro Cemetery with Father Phillip Malayil officiating.  Friends that so desire, memorial donations can be made in Albert’s memory to the Cystic Fibrosis of Canada, Suite 214-175 Hargrave St, Winnipeg, MB R3C 3R8 or to the St. James Catholic Church, Baldur, MB R0K 0B0.
