With his family at his side, George Alois Jansen of Cypress River, MB, passed away peacefully after a long & courageous battle with cancer at the Rock Lake Health Centre, Crystal City, MB, on Wednesday November 1, 2023, at the age of 80 years.
He leaves to mourn his wife of 56 years, Yvonne (nee Delorme), children Douglas (Cindy) of Ninette, MB, Lloyd (Haley) of Whitecourt AB, Karen (Keith) of Didsbury, AB, & JoAnn (Kyle) of Cypress River, MB; seven grandchildren, Richelle, Travis (Jodeci) Jansen, James (Christine), Olivia & Zach Van De Kerckhove, Hailey (Brett) & Tyson Berry and five great grandchildren.
He is also survived by brother John (Sheila) of Ninette, MB, sister Irma Trudeau of Winnipeg, MB, sister-in-law Michele Jansen of Winnipeg, MB, brothers-in-law Roger (Hélène), Gerry (Darlene) Delorme, sisters-in-law Mariette (Bill) Howatt, Laurie (Scott) McPherson and many nieces & nephews.
George was predeceased by his parents John & Alma, brother Bob Jansen, brother-in-law Phil Trudeau and parents-in-law Imelda & Ernie Delorme.
As per his wishes, there will be no service. A celebration of George’s life will be held at a later date.
