Bob was born on January 30th, 1948, to Jim and Vida Mason of Ninette Mb. He had one sister Velma. He attended Ninette School and Killarney Collegiate Institute. During school Bob enjoyed football season and ended his “formal” education one fall after football season came to a close. He then attended Assiniboine Community College where he graduated as an Auto Body Technician and went on to spend his career in the auto body field, operating most of these years out of Mason’s Auto Body Shop in Ninette restoring and customizing antique and classic vehicles. Bob is survived by his beloved son Scott and daughter in law Elizabeth, Sister Velma (Don) and nephew Tim McAdam of the Pas. He was predeceased by his first wife Peggy (1997) and later his second wife Valdyn (2018) and by his parents Jim and Vida Mason.
Bob was very active in Ninette Community affairs and spent 58 years on the Ninette Volunteer Fire Department, the last several as Fire Chief.
